Tori, founder of First Class Bitch

I grew up in Edmonton, Canada.

I was the girl who always said she wanted to write a book someday, but “someday” kept stretching further and further away. I didn’t know what I would write about, or who I would be when I finally did it. I just knew the dream lived somewhere inside me, waiting for the right moment, the right clarity, the right version of me.

It took a long time to find a topic. I kept trying to write something that sounded like a book instead of something that sounded like me. Then one day it hit me — write about what you know!

And what I know, deeply and personally, is identity, standards, self-worth, rising, falling, rebuilding, and refusing to abandon myself. I know what it feels like to be misunderstood, mislabeled, underestimated, and still rise anyway. I know what it feels like to be called a “bitch” for simply being a woman with clarity.

So, I wrote the book I needed, and the book I knew other women needed too.

That book is First Class Bitch.

My goal is bigger than selling books. I want to spread the word, spark conversations, and challenge women to rethink what they’ve been taught to tolerate, what they’ve been made to believe about themselves, and how often they’ve been encouraged to make themselves smaller to keep everyone else comfortable.

I want women to raise their standards — not because they think they’re better than anyone else, but because they finally recognize their own worth. To use their voices instead of swallowing their words. To set boundaries without guilt, own their opinions without apology, and stop confusing being agreeable with being a good woman.

And I want us to rethink the word bitch. Why is a woman so often labeled difficult, demanding, or intimidating when she knows what she wants, speaks her mind, or refuses to settle? What if the very qualities we’ve been criticized for are the ones we should be celebrating?

I want First Class Bitch to become more than a book. I want it to be a movement toward a world where women no longer feel they have to earn permission to take up space, expect more, speak honestly, or live life on their own terms.

Because the goal isn’t to become someone else’s idea of a first-class woman. It’s to decide what first class means to you — and refuse to settle for less.

Read it. Talk about it. Share it. Pass the message on.

Because when one woman raises her standards, she gives another woman permission to raise hers. And when women start using their voices, the world has to start listening.
